Odoo SEO: 10 checks in 30 minutes
Your site is added to Search Console
Without it, you see neither your queries nor your errors. Add a Domain property (DNS verification) to cover every variant of your address.
Your sitemap is submitted
Odoo generates the sitemap on its own at /sitemap.xml. Submit that address in Search Console, under Sitemaps.
Your products are properly indexed
Compare the number of indexed pages (Pages report) with the number of products published in Odoo. A big gap points to pages Google ignores.
Every product has a real title
By default, the title is the product name. Customize it with the website editor's SEO tool: product + benefit, about 60 characters.
Descriptions aren't empty
Without a description, Google writes one, often poorly. Write one for your 10 best pages first, about 150 characters.
Your best sellers are visible
Take your 10 best-selling products from Odoo's sales analysis. Look up their pages in Search Console, Performance report. Few impressions = top priority.
Pages that get seen get clicked
Filter pages on Google's first page (position below 10) with a low click-through rate. Their title is what needs rewriting.
Images have alt text
In the editor, describe each product image in a few words. Check the file size too: under 200 KB per image is a good benchmark.
No deleted product returns an error
Find the “Not found (404)” pages in Search Console. Redirect them to the closest product or category with the Website app's redirects.
Product pages are fast on mobile
Test a product page on pagespeed.web.dev. Look at LCP first: under 2.5 seconds is good.
